CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

TUESDAYS

Chess K-5th

Learn chess with Magnus Academy (formerly Silver Knights), world champion Magnus Carlsen’s academy!  We’ve taught 100,000 children to play including state and national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill and have FUN. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games.  Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.  Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments (in-person and online) outside of club time.  This in-person club includes free online extras including weekly practice tournaments and an event with world champion Magnus Carlsen or Judit Polgar, the best female chess player of all time.  All chess supplies provided. Cooking: Breakfast Club K-5th

In this session, the kids will get to learn all sorts of breakfast treats, ranging from super simple, to a delicious meal to get excited over! They will be breakfast champions by the end, being able to crack eggs without a second thought and how to be a baking pro.

WEDNESDAYS

Debate Club 4th-5th

Students will be learning the basic foundations of how to debate with proper communication skills.

Rumble Robotics K-5th

Welcome to Rumble Robotics, where young aspiring engineers dive into the thrilling world of Battle Robots in bite-sized sessions! In just an hour, kids step into an action-packed adventure, building and battling their own spinning tops, commanding robot knights in epic duels, and racing their custom-designed cars. Our program simplifies the excitement, making it perfect for beginners – no experience required. With gears, axles, motors, and our cutting-edge RoboThink mainboards, young minds unleash their creativity and engineering skills. Get ready for an hour filled with fun, learning, and adrenaline-pumping challenges!

Love the Ball Soccer Academy K-5th

Our Soccer Academy is based on training methods and techniques from professional academies in the United Kingdom. Every player will have their own ball for the majority of the session as we work on drills moves and skills. Sessions will always finish with small sided scrimmages such as 1v1’s or 2v2’s to put into practice the games and drills that have been worked on throughout the session.

THURSDAYS

Karate K-5th

​​Zen Budo Karate teaches the Japanese art of self defense in an after school class format. Students learn punching and kicking skills, target and pad practice, self control and discipline and how to follow instructions alongside leadership skills. Students can advance in belt rank, learn memorized patterns, escapes from grabs, and the basics of martial arts. Uniforms are required and included in the class price. If you already own a uniform, please use the coupon code karate30w25 to deduct the price of the uniform cost. Uniform fees are non-refundable should your student withdraw from their class.

Winter Pop Art Icons! K-5th

Join us this Winter as we explore the exciting world of Pop Art! Learn about how these famous Pop Art Icons changed the world of art by using repetition and bold ideas! In this class you’ll create pinch Yayoi Kusama flower bowls, Keith Haring gingerbread people and pop art food sculptures! You will hand build pottery from start to finish and even get a chance to glaze your own pottery. Our materials are professional grade stoneware and get fired in our kiln making the pieces both beautiful and functional!  We will utilize stoneware clay, air hardening clay as well as modeling clay to create a portfolio you’ll cherish. Class will culminate in an end of the year art show giving students a real taste of what real artist life is like. Ready to explore? Let’s get muddy!

MusicStart: Keyboarding for Beginners K-3rd

MusicStart® is a patented progressive music learning system that balances fun and development of skills. Using familiar songs, it teaches all the necessary basics to get started playing music.
